Over the course of his career, Jabari has earned a formidable reputation as a forward-thinking marketing chief who connects mission-driven brands with the heartbeat of popular, urban culture to reach the next generation of consumers. Prior to his role at AKQA, he was Nike’s product lead for football, baseball, and training; head of brand at Lyft; head of marketing for Will Smith’s production company; and head of marketing for Google’s Mobile Hardware – along with time agency-side at Wieden + Kennedy and Chiat Day. Jabari has launched innovative brand campaigns as an accomplished global marketer, including Google Pixel, the Nike Women’s Half Marathon, the Nike Equality Campaign, and the Nike x NFL partnership. Jabari’s personal mission is to “be the change and inspire it in others,” which is why he co-founded a company called Monday Night Mentorship, built to coach and mentor marketers of color during the 2020 pandemic. He also serves on the Board of the Marcus Graham Project working to increase diversity in representation within the media and marketing industries. He holds a BA in Advertising from Southern Methodist University, where he received a full basketball scholarship.
