Matt Van Hoven

Matt is the co-founder of Raven Public Relations on the idea that earned press only has value if the right people read it. For 15 years Matt has guided ad agencies, brands, media companies, media networks, publishers and ad tech businesses as they grow their perception and presence in the media. Matt’s career began as a reporter, and later an editor, at AgencySpy, which he grew from a fledgling blog into a daily must-read. Following his tenure, the site was acquired by Adweek. His reporting has appeared in Mashable, Buzzfeed and Digiday. While at VaynerMedia, Matt led a first-of-its-kind partnership with Buzzfeed that sought to give brands a path to creating high quality, culturally-driven content.
After moving to Nashville, Matt co-founded Raven Public Relations, a firm whose point of difference includes amplifying their clients’ PR efforts, making sure their earned media is seen by the people who matter most to their business. Some of his current clients include Tombras, Alto, Alma and Joan.
